How BuyTrade works

A clearer path from business search to meaningful connection.

BuyTrade currently helps people discover published businesses through categories, locations and clear public profiles. Broader marketplace workflows are planned and are identified separately on this page.

From a need to a public business profile.

What becomes public—and what does not.

BuyTrade presents a deliberately limited public view so discovery stays useful without exposing internal platform information.

  1. 01

Only eligible published business profiles appear publicly.

  2. 02

Public results use approved profile information.

  3. 03

Account, moderation and administrative information stays outside the public listing.

  4. 04

Publication is not a legal, financial, product-quality or transaction guarantee.

Clear answers about what the current public experience does—and does not—provide.

01Do I need an account to browse businesses?

No. Browsing the public catalogue does not require authentication. You can search and open published business profiles without an account.

02What information appears on a public business profile?

A profile can show the public business name, approved description, active categories, location, and public phone, email or website fields supplied by the business.

03Does a published profile guarantee a business?

No. Publication means the profile satisfies BuyTrade's current publication rules. It is not a legal, financial, product-quality or transaction guarantee.

04Can I post a requirement or send an enquiry?

You can send a public enquiry directly from an eligible business's own profile page today — no account is required, and it is recorded as an enquiry through BuyTrade. Sending an enquiry does not guarantee the business will read or respond to it. A verified, signed-in account can also submit a structured requirement for review — that submission is live today, but automatic supplier matching, lead distribution, and requirement tracking are still planned and not part of the current public web experience.

05Can a business create and manage its profile?

A verified, signed-in account can start a real business profile from the owner dashboard, edit it, and submit it for review — all of that is live today. Submitting does not itself publish, verify, or approve anything; a moderator decides that separately, and the owner can view the outcome, including a rejection reason, and recover a rejected draft to try again. Managing products, services, and enquiries remains in development.
